ArtQuest at Santa Rosa High School is an award-winning, specialized public high school magnet program in the visual and performing arts developed for students for whom creativity and artistic expression is of paramount importance.
As part of the long-standing(1874 beginnings), comprehensive Santa Rosa High School, in the heart of artistically rich, diverse Sonoma County, ArtQuest offers an "above and beyond" experience in the Visual and Performing Arts. At ArtQuest, the passion, commitment and discipline of the Arts is connected to the energy of academic study; Inspired by guest artists; enlarged by meaningful off-site visits, exhibits, and performances; Enriched by its proximity to Santa Rosa Junior College, Sonoma County Museum, and numerous other nearby cultural organizations; Nurtured by generous parent, community and business support.
ArtQuest is a place where students, from Sonoma County and beyond, come together as young artists to learn, work, exhibit, perform and begin to build their dreams into realities; and to pursue artful lives, wherever they may lead.
ArtQuest is truly an artistic learning community, devoted to the development of creative problem solving, critical thinking skills, responsibility, accountability, discipline, focus, and community-mindedness. ArtQuest works to nurture opportunities to experience camaraderie and excitement about learning, and envisions school as a place that can and should be filled with dynamic and compelling discoveries. At ArtQuest students are challenged to be both artists and scholars in the broadest sense.
At ArtQuest, the Arts ARE Academic.
