TRANSFER OR OPEN ENROLLMENT PROCESS SRCS District Portion (Separate from the ArtQuest Application)
Placement in the ArtQuest Program alone does not guarantee that a student will be enrolled at SRHS. It is very important that parents initiate the appropriate process for the student’s particular circumstances while preparing the submission of the ArtQuest Application.
AQ Admissions decisions will be made in late January 2021, with information about SRHS Enrollment and Course Selection to follow.
Applicants will be informed of their AQ acceptance, SRHS acceptance and their SRCS transfer approval separately, starting in Winter 2021-2022.
STUDENTS THAT LIVE WITHIN SRHS ATTENDANCE BOUNDARIES
If student would normally attend SRHS, no transfer is necessary.
Complete/submit AQ Application, no additional paperwork required.

The Inter-District Transfer Application window for the 2022-2023 school year is February 1 - March 11, 2022.
Regardless of the transfer process and requirements of the district office of residence, the ArtQuest Application needs to be submitted by December 9, 2021. Acceptance into ArtQuest does not guarantee enrollment at SRHS.
Complete Part A of the Sonoma County Office of Education (SCOE) Request for Inter-District Attendance Permit (form available online at www.scoe.org or www.srcschools.org)
Submit Request for Inter-District Attendance Permit at the district office of residence. Follow up with the district office of residence to check the status of the transfer request.
The inter-district transfer agreement must be approved by both the student’s original district of residence and the district to which the student seeks to transfer (SRCS). Both districts must approve the agreement before it becomes valid.
Please note: Inter-District transfers are limited, due to student capacity at SRHS.
If approved, the Inter-District may extend for a maximum of five consecutive years and may include specific terms or conditions. Also note: It is within the authority of either the home district or the receiving district to revoke an inter-district transfer agreement at any time for any reason the local board or district superintendent deems appropriate.
QUESTIONS? If you have questions or need additional clarification about the transfer process, please contact your district of residence or:

Santa Rosa High School Portion (Separate from the ArtQuest Application) Enrollment/Course Selection Process: Once the student has been accepted into ArtQuest, the SRHS Administration will determine if the student will be able to attend Santa Rosa High School. For students outside the normal SRHS attendance boundaries, enrollment at SRHS is contingent upon adequate vacancy at SRHS, an appropriate transfer approval if applicable, placement in AQ and other pertinent factors to be determined by the SRHS Administration.
